A Journey of the Will- cropped version by

I like this cropped too.

A little inside info on the process of this piece:
I accidently grabbed a sheet of Stonehenge paper, which I love to use graphite on. I thought I was working on Arches or Rives until I applied the charcoal. It doesn’t handle the same, I couldn’t get a smooth blend or use the eraser techniques I like. So I had to try something else. Will is a fair-haired subject and I would have preferred a softer approach on this, but it does convey strength and complexity, which suits him well.

enjoy making direct work from natural materials in my prairie and wildlife sanctuary.
i am a very restless person and I work in many different ways with a variety of media.

One cannot collect all the beautiful shells on the beach. One can collect only a few, and they are more beautiful if they are few.

you dont shy away from a challenge that 5 o clock shadow hard to pull of but you did it and the eyes follow you round the room great picture of a man in tune with himself and the outdoors

  • that is really true about Will. very good to know that came thru.
    I think that might be a 10:15 shadow. :))
thanks Tim- as your poem said- you may be the next victim. lol
