One cannot collect all the beautiful shells on the beach. One can collect only a few, and they are more beautiful if they are few.

You call them random markings! But are they really Yvonca? There is something so interesting and important in this drawing that directly effects the viewer. I really like the depth of this work and the journey I share with you, the artist! Wishing you a creative and inspiring week!S

  • I call them random but that’s not really accurate. I don’t know what is going on in my mind or spirit sometimes and when I make what appears to be “random” marks- stuff always shows up and comes out.
definitely part of a healing journey that never ceases to amaze me. Kindest regards to you-Thank you.

I find myself doing the same thing a lot of the time! I really enjoy your art though! Very energetic but with a unique retro futuristic feel! Keep up the great work … or so called random markings as you call them! Haha :) Chris

  • Hey- nice to meet you Chris. Love your bio and work as well. Thanks for the great feedback. :)

    my body fights
    the storm outside
    the whirl wind
    in my head
    naked it
    undresses me
    and pulls me
    to its bed
    there it plays
    laughs at me
    the dizzy
    helpless feel
    and gifts me
    with a nightmare
    that feels
    so very real.

  • you know there has to be another word for WOW- but all I can say is WOWWW Tim. thanks for sharing these thoughts.

i feel power, drama and turmoil all at the same time from this drawing!

  • yes, it was what I thought was a simple random abstract but some truth fully formed itself here. Thank you for taking the time to view and comment. :))
