Oh lay me down in leaves of green and gold . . .
This is much closer to the original color scheme. An experimental piece that is a nod to my roots. I find balance, restoration, excitement and joy in the natural world. Working in a manner that takes risk is sure to give thrills and chills . . will the next layer ruin it . . . maybe. But really that is life isnt it? I have been struggling to make work consistantly amid many interruptions.
My sweet little kitty is not happy, he is restless and bored. I have to put him in the basement when I work on the floor otherwise he will mess around with my brushes and paints. One day I will do a collab with him . . . but not today. :))
Oh to go away to a corner of the world just to make art without distractions . . . someday. :))

Pastel, colored pencil ink, charcoal and acrylic paint on gold toned Canson paper 20 × 24″.

enjoy making direct work from natural materials in my prairie and wildlife sanctuary.
i am a very restless person and I work in many different ways with a variety of media.

One cannot collect all the beautiful shells on the beach. One can collect only a few, and they are more beautiful if they are few.

quite a twist you’ve applied here

  • ha haa I do like this view here. I think the eyes still work because they are not confronting the viewer. Thanks Dennis, always appreciate your witty input.
