this was a surprise for me . . .
the two gold and black pieces are land art called “After the Fall”
the two plant portraits are “Shagbark King Adam” and “Shagbark Queen Eve”.
seriously did not plan to put together.
shhh . . . The pieces are talking . . . .
:))

enjoy making direct work from natural materials in my prairie and wildlife sanctuary.
i am a very restless person and I work in many different ways with a variety of media.

One cannot collect all the beautiful shells on the beach. One can collect only a few, and they are more beautiful if they are few.

After the hassle and the madness of things going wrong and the how to fix it of the creations everything seems peaceful as if they had appeared magically. Sometimes we need to see an artist in action to really appreciate the final product. (produt) wrong word. The finished creation, sounds much better. Simply love this.
Will you have your hands in there also? I think that would be great if you put it alone in front of these projects. After all, they were the ones that created this.

  • yes I did have the hands pieces in, both framed. I have one more to do. What a lovely insightful comment Iris. The hands guided by God made the work, I learned so much doing this, my education just went kaboom and I will never be the same. :))))

What a refreshing backdrop of slate colour than the obligatory clinical white walls looks great

  • Thanks Tim. I thought so too. The grey walls are warm and it brought out the greys of the sumi ink looked rich and had a lively effect through out the space. The charcoals and graphites showed well too. I will remember this effect for future shows. wish you could have stood in the actual space to enjoy with me and be surrounded by what the work speaks/soak in the essence. such a quiet contemplative energy yet powerful. some said were moved to tears . . . .
