This is the edge of Philharmonia square in the city of Chernivtsi in western Ukraine. This is one of the most beautiful cities I have ever visited, right up there with Prague, Lviv and Ivano Frankivsk. They all have a similar style of architecture.

So pretty! Don’t you hate those electric wires? :)) They have them everywhere and too many! I had to do a lot of work to remove them in some images…
What a terrific glimpse of this city’s style. Very cool image Y~
hank you LJ. I’ve agonized over which of the Chernivtsi images to print. I decided that this should be one of them. I see that you’re totally in love with Mexico. :-)
Why choose only one. Post many.. I love to travel and visit other cultures-places. Lets see some more of your Chernivtsi…. I like Mexico very much and enjoy the N.W. coast and all its seaside villages in particular there. This was my last visit there for abit. Heading for Sth. America next trip. I am itchig to visit the Galapagos Islands. I would like to stay a few mths if I can work it all out.. Thanks again Y~ :)
I haven’t been to Galapagos, but if you can manage that would be terrific. I’ve spoken to people who’ve been there and they raved about it. I’ve read some of Darwin’s papers when I did a paper on the finches of Galapagos back in college. It’s truly a unique place.I appreciate your feedback on Chernivtsi. I always look for the unusual image, alas most of them are just “nice.”
Thank you Sharon, I’m honored.
