Actually taken in May but I guess that qualifies as Winter in the mountains at 1000 meters. Summit Lake is [as the name suggests] at the summit of the South Klondike highway from Whitehorse in the Yukon to Skagway in Alaska. The road travels through a little corner of British Columbia and this is the location near Fraser and the Canadian Customs.

The White Pass and Yukon Railway which was built in 1899 for the Great Klondike Gold Rush runs along the shore of this lake.

Played with photography since early High School. Since moving to the Yukon in 1997 I have become much more involved and am now comfortable in Photoshop although there is always more to learn. The Yukon is a great canvas and would recommend it for most everyone’s Bucket List
