Introducing leggings. You’ll never run out of inspiration.

An American Idol illustrating the impossible standards and unrealistic expectations our society, especially the popular media, puts upon young girls… The “dreams” that lead to poor self image, self mutilation, the devastating effects of body ravaging Bulimia and Anorexia, Obesity and drug abuse, as well as sexual promiscuity and loss of self worth.

Inspired by a conversation I had with James… check out his version entitled Life In Plastic

Nice shot. Maybe kids were more sensible when I was young, but my friends and I knew that Barbie was an impossibly-proportioned freak, just fun to dress. I blame media way more than Barbie, although she may have played a part.

  • Thanks Tama! Yeah, I agree, I happen to love Barbie! Ironically, she was the first doll I saw that closely resembled an adult person and actually wasn’t as out of whack proportionately as other dolls. And the ones in Italy actually had nipples! ;p

    So very true these days!

  • Yep, true and very sad. I was just in the toy department the other day, and most of the dolls there were supposed to be some sort of Rock Stars or models or whatever… not that there’s anything wrong with that, but whatever happened to other options? I remember when even Barbie was an astronaut!

Come to vegas and take a look, all these women no matter what age want to be Barbies and neglect their children it’s a shame!

  • I can only imagine… so many people have forgotten what is really important in life. Parents should really take more of an active role in parenting instead of leaving their kids to fend for them selves. They were the ones that decided to have the kids, not the other way around!
I’ve never been to Vegas, but I would imagine it’s not somewhere I’d bring my kids if I had any… It’s supposed to be a playground for adults.

It is a playground for adults, it;s nice to see the different casinos but personally I have no idea why they bring children since they can not be in the casinos and vegas is about gambeling and shows but you have to come here one day it’s interesting!

  • Well, I’m not much of a gambler, but I would love to come to Vegas to see all the sites and lights! It would be great to catch some of the shows, like Cirque du Soleil and check out the spectacular fountain shows and the pirate show. I’d love to check out the mini Venice, especially since I’ve seen the actual city of Venice when I was a kid.

Yes there is alot to see here and the Venetian is my favorite one and when you come go to the Bellagio go to the restaurant Olive (not expensive)and ask for a balcony table when it is dark and watch the fountain go off every 15 minutes it is beautiful, and don’t gamble lol

  • Thanks for the tips, Susanne, can’t wait to go now. Maybe you could be my tour guide! :D

Y – i can certainly keep up with you. It’s funny, I saw this shot earlier in the feed and meant to click it, but got sidetracked. anyway my good friends who’s daughter moved away 2 years ago - has now ended up in the bunny ranch as a high priced call girl and she looks just like this – with a fresh boob job and everything. it is sad that young girls (some) end up lost and end up in not so great places. I feel badly for her parents (my friends), either they support her decisions . . or they lose her.

  • That is sad that a young girl would choose that sort of lifestyle… but there are countless others who put themselves at risk every day without even realizing that they’re doing it. Girls that are slowly starving themselves to death because they no longer understand what a healthy body is supposed to look or feel like. It’s very sad that so many young girls growing up today have no sense of self value and believe that the only value they have is to be some sort of sex object… a toy to be played with…
