Pollnabrock or Poll na mBroc in Irish probably means Badgers’ Hole or Hollow of the badgers
In Northern Ireland every mile or so is a different place name. I have a fascination for Irish place names as they can tell us something about the past geography or history of an area. Pollnabrock must’ve been local badger haunt.
This is the limit of the eastern edge of the north Sperrin mountains.
