Purple Protest: Votes In The Sky by

We are demanding a fair voting system so that we have a Parliament which properly represents the British people. One hundred years on, in the wake of a shamefully biased election result, we must join together in a new fight for democracy and political equality. “Take Back Parliament”:“www.takebackparliament.com”;

At the end of the Demo for Democracy in George Square, Glasgow, on Saturday 8th May 2010, most of us let go of our helium-filled balloons into the sky. Some had messages on them that said “Vote for Democracy” or “Proportional Representation Now”, but most were just labelled “Wasted Vote”.
