On the Scotland United Against Racism and Facism march through Edinburgh on Saturday 20th February 2010, one of the protestors carries this public statement of Scottish culture: we’ll eat anything from anywhere so long as you can deep-fry it. (If you can’t, we’ll dip it in batter and fry it anyway.)
