I have the Powershot A630 which is much like yours and it would be very hard to find a better point and shoot. I enjoy mine a bunch.

Hi Marts, I agree. I love Canon cameras. My first Canon was the film powershot which I got when I was about 15 and I had it for about 20 years before moving onto digital.
