So very beautiful, Kate. The details are marvelous and the loose background is sets them up perfectly. This has a lovely “feel” to it.
Kate Eller replied
I really appreciate that comment Bev. This is one of my favorites….I think because I fretted over it so much. Such a sweet comment ….Thank you Dear!

Leslie Gustafson
Fabulous work!!
Kate Eller replied
Hi Leslie. What a beautiful comment. Thank you very much.
Kate Eller replied
By the way….you don’t happen to be related to any Gustafsons in Greenville, SC do you??
Leslie Gustafson
Our Gustafson’s are up in Oregon. I think there are many in the midwest though. First time I heard of SC Gustafsons.
Kate Eller replied
Actually I don’t think they are originally from SC. Probably from the midwest somewhere. They are all in acadamia….in fine arts and music.
Vickyh
Beautiful painting Kate. I like the way the detail in the focal point stands out in the soft background. Your choice of colours are superb.
Kate Eller replied
Thank you Vicky for that lovely comment. I am so hopelessly detailed. I was determined to make this a loose watercolor. Started out ok in the background but….. ooops that detail crept in in the foreground…... Arghhhhhhh
Vickyh
Arghhhhhhhhhhhh nothing, Kate. I like the way you have detailed the foreground, giving it that importance it deserves. It’s a style many would like to adopt…........It is just beeeeeeeuuuuuuuuutiful !!!
Kate Eller replied
How sweet you are Vicky! Hugs to you, Kate
