No I choose Mike Huckabee. Why? Well he is so folksy and he can get down and play bass with different bands on his talk show. And he is a former governor of Arkansas and a former minister. He was a presidental candidate. And he now works for Fox News. Gee I think working for Fox News really qualifies him for poster boy. Wow I am so impressed…..NOT.
And he does radio too. One day recently, he was critical of Barack Obama. He said a reporter asked Barack what he thought about one of the smaller provisions in current proposed health care legislation.
The President said he had not read this provision. Then Mr. Huckabee said that the President should “take a day off” to read the bill(s) so he knows all that is in the bill(s).
Sorry Mike, there are currently 5 proposed health care bills in congressional committees . And while I think the president should monitor their provisions (and it is obvious that he does), I don’t think it is reasonable to try and make an issue out of the president not knowing about a small provision of one of the 5 bills. After all there will be a conference committee to develop the final bill. And at that time Barack Obama will know all the provisions, thru and thru. Then the bill, if it passes, will be sent to his desk for approval or veto. Etc.
Mike, when you were governer of Arkansas, did you know everything about every bill in committee at all times in the Arkansas legislature . I think not. And noone would expect you to.
I think what Mike is doing is saying stuff that appeals to his base and to some of the american people who unfortunately don’t take the time to study what a statement like this really means. They hear this and think, gee the President isn’t doing his job. The President needs to read up and on health care bill(s) and study up on it better. This is pure nonsense. Most people in the know think the President knows the issue very well. So Huckabee’s statement is pure nonsence. And he knows it. So he qualifies as poster boy for the right wing.
I also think that Mike Huckabee and the other Fox News guys and girls spew nonsence because it is self promoting. And it appeals to the conservative corporate big wigs at Fox News and guarantees a big job at a big salary.
Gee, I am watching Fox News and Shawn Hannity is saying the same thing as Mike Huckabee. Is that called pulling a Huckabee?
