I have noticed a very clear pattern.
The rich people in America think that the poor are lazy.
It is not true of course. But it fits in with their greedy attitude about sharing the wealth of this great country.
I think that in the past, this country has been so rich in resourses that the rich got away with their greedy attitude to some extent. I dont think that “trickle down” really worked in the past but it worked somewhat because this country has a lot of wonderful resouces. But it will work less and less into the future for many reasons ( ie lack of oil energy, not producing as many manufactured goods as in the past, the global economy, etc)
I think the Obama election was really one of the first steps by the the underclasses, the people with the most votes, to say, we need less greed, we need regulated capitalism.
The working poor compose millions of people…..and they work damn hard. Many do not get health care benefits. The sick and handicapped and many older americans do not get adequate health care benefits, either. It is time for all of these groups to vote in even higher numbers. After all there is more of them than rich people in this country. I think that voting is the main way for them to end the self serving attitude of the rich that they are lazy.
The underclasses need to vote in higher numbers.
