Game Plan

Here’s a very weird and frustrating truth. Given the political S.O.P. in Washington, if you are trying to bring about change for the better, what you are up against is a strong and powerful faction that incidentally, goes right up to the president, that is expert at QUASI-legally bending the law.

Now, years ago laws were written and passed to CLARIFY the delineation between “right” and “wrong”. Today, on the federal level at any rate, laws are written with careful attention to providing loopholes, back doors and ramps to executive privilege . Don’t take my word for it, research it. So,if you are to take the high road in your quest for change you are beaten before you start, unless you demand that your cause be reviewed on the state or local level. In some cases, this is as easy as knowing that it can be settled at a state level and filing appropriately. Done.

But if you need to bring it to the Big House, you are up against some mighty opponents indeed. At this level you are not just bringing suit but, in most cases , you are lobbying and legislating, depending on the issues and where you are going with them.

I mentioned the Presidents earlier. They are not necessarily the enemy. What they are is the most successful player on the field. So, no matter what you might think of them, it is important to realize that they carry a lot of weight and can either run block or run the ball straight through. Incidentally, this is something we must change. We have handed WAY too much power over to the president, and not because we gave them the go-ahead, but because, in the past, we were careless enough to allow then the option to do it themselves. Case in point: George W. Bush, before moving on the torture issue at Guantanamo Bay, had the “power” to pre-pardon himself and his staff from future prosecution. This, no matter what aspect it is argued from, is a breach of justice. i.e. Illegal. But it got passed without question.

This is the kind of power anyone seeking to promote change, is up against.
If yo are happy and satisfied with such proceedings, support them. If, as I do, you find something intrinsically wrong with such dealings, we have only one direction open to us. Change government.

The one thing we have on our side is numbers. In the next election, we must unite. We must realize that things will not improve until we do. Participants and activists on both sides of the fence MUST realize that more of the same will only choke us all the more.

I vow to begin right now in the effort to make the next election something different. When push comes to shove, I do not really fault Barack Obama, for our lot. The fact is, even though I have been very critical of him, he is simply just another monkey doing his master’s bidding. He has played the game perfectly and won. That does not make him our friend. But it has earned him some of my respect.

Well played, touche’.

Here’s my point…There is nothing we can do about the past. Obama won and that is that. We can make a difference in the future. Let’s give this guy six months to make a difference, follow his directives, then cut him off. Impeach him if necessary. Enough is enough.

Now…we have given the last of chances. Let’s start pushing for the new government. The Libertarian government. Let’s bring about TRUE change. Change that endorses true liberty and a person’r ability to truly contribute to the common good.

Let’s think about the future.
