Conspiracy Theorist...Is That a Bad Thing?

Over the past few months I have been slammed, criticized and vilified by people as being a paranoid, stupid, alarmist, conspiracy theorist, because of my political views. Some of these critiques have been from friends whose intellect I respect and whose opinion I value. Others (the majority) have been from fools who go on about the idiocy of MY political opinions ad nauseam, without defending their own opinions, and one such individual didn’t even know what the Magna Carta was. These I have put in the corner with a dunce cap.

Let me address these insulting criticisms one at a time.

1.) Paranoid: What the politically INFORMED individual will become unless they are part of the problem…or…STUPID.

2.) Stupid: One thing I am definitely NOT. Opinionated, sure but stupid…no. I do my homework before I spout off on something and I have not found a rebuttal (or out&out insult) that I have not been able to shoot down. I do not claim to be omni-right (just made that up), but I try to have most or all of the facts before I rant.

3.) Alarmist: If raising the alarm when I see political wrongs being perpetrated and then foisted on the public, then of course I’m an alarmist, in the same vein that the founding fathers were. All fifty six men that signed the Declaration of Independence signed his own death warrant for treason to the Crown. I don’t claim to be that much of a hero but I am a patriot to the values those brave men fought and died for and when I see those values being trampled willy-nilly I become infuriated.

4.) Conspiracy Theorist: Thank you. Does a degree come with the title? This simply means that I have done enough research to formulate a theory. Don’t mistake my meaning. I’m talking from the first person singular and do not discount the reality that there are many people propagating falsehoods for the sake of sensationalism. Being politically aware is work, it’s why so VERY many people simply are NOT. Kinda like Ms. Palin. And THAT’S the problem. Make no mistake, it means researching many threads that turn out to be someone’s malicious lie and a waste of your time.

In closing let me say that I am ALWAYS willing to debate with those who have done their homework but if you just wish to insult me or mix it up just to bust balls, don’t wast my time. And I will not respond to comments from anyone who has not watched the videos included here. This man is a maverick journalist who tells it the way it IS at considerable risk to himself. This is the only type of journalism that can be trusted today and the type which one must seek out to get the story from the other side of the street. So think what you like. I consider him something of a modern hero. He may be going on my list. We’ll see.
