I’m fifty nine hard won years old, male, bachelor. My therapist says that at times he’d like to see me spend some time institutionalized. I’m blind, got two glass eyes, false teeth, hearing aid, toupee, prosthetic arm and leg, both left side. (Sigh) Land mine…Nam, Cambodia actually. We weren’t supposed to be there so…Nam.
I not only undress for bed, I also disassemble myself. My teeth go into a glass at night as do my glass eyes. Problem is my teeth keep me awake a lot lately. (Sigh), They talk to me. Last night I fell asleep, despite the constant chatter, at about 3:30 am. The last thing I heard was an adamant prediction that the next day I would meet my soul mate and the lottery ticket I’d bought yesterday would hit big-time.
Upon awaking I asked my teeth about the prediction and was informed that my eyes had said it. But they were reticent this morning. Went through my day…neither prediction came true, naturally.
Guess I just can’t believe my eyes.
