While I make no secret of my contempt for Barack Obama’s contempt for us, and I spend hours researching and writing in an attempt to spread awareness that he has committed enough treason to be not only impeached but prosecuted time and time again, I want it to be known that George Bush and Dick Cheney were the architects of all that Obama is capitalizing on.
Many thousands of veterans who have suffered disabling injuries, diseases and mental illness and are now finding it almost impossible to get adequate treatment for these disabilities are languishing and dying in shameful numbers, including one Tomas young who, on the 10th anniversary of the Iraq war, lays dying from injuries received in 2004 and penned his last letter to Bush and Cheney.
The following is an excerpt from that letter.
“…before my own death, I want to make it clear that I, and hundreds of thousands of my fellow veterans, along with millions of my fellow citizens, along with hundreds of millions more in Iraq and the Middle East, know full who you are and what you have done. You may evade justice but in our eyes you are each guilty of egregious war crimes, of plunder and, finally, of murder, including the murder[s] of thousands of young Americans-my fellow veterans-whose future[s] you stole.”
I don’t think much more than that has to be said except perhaps to ask, how did we ever become such a nation of emotional sluggards? At what point did we stop recognizing right from wrong and allowing monsters to walk free and worse, ride rough-shod over us and to start getting away with what WE, at least, know in our hearts, is wrong? When did we stop holding social pariah and “evil doers” accountable and instead let them become our leaders?
We all want change…we NEED change, but we will never achieve it nor indeed, deserve it, until we tear down these political miscreants from their ivory towers and demand appropriate payment for their crimes.
