I agree with you about realism. Sometimes I think, why not just take a photo? Funny that I ended up doing drawings that are quite realistic. :) Though I think if you can manage to bring out some element of your own style in a picture then it’s worth doing. I like to make some features slightly out of proportion (larger eyes, smaller bodies) so my pictures take on an other-worldy, ethereal quality. And I like quick-sketched hair. Gives a certain lightness and spontanaeity while at the same time grounding her to the page with its unreality…I like to think.

Like the style of your drawings, dont go much for realism so the way you’ve used line only for different areas appeals to me.
