Very creative, good photoshopping. The tree looks a bit more silly than scary… I think it is the lips? Reminds me of those thumb movies… have you seen those? Anyhow, what if you just used the mouth cavity and teeth w/o lips and toned the eyes down a little?? Just a thought!

When there is movement, I usually advise to place the moving object with less space behind than in front. With the bird’s size, i would try to place it roughly on the left vertical third of the overall canvas.
