Great focus and texture… comps a bit awkward with him looking out of frame. The empty space would be better in front of the subject BUT some cropping could improve the comp of this .

Excellent shot.
Suggestions:
1. Using Photoshop, try to get some glint in the eye reflected off the eyeball and perhaps slightly sharpen the eye region, because that is what humans naturally look toewards first.
2. The eye is located roughly halfway between left and right margins. Classically, we prefer to place the eye on one of the thirds (explore the “Rule of Thirds” via Google, and you will see what I am referring to. I apologise if you already know this stuff!

I love the texture of the scales on the arm and cheek.
