St Tysilio’s church, Llandysilio, occupies an isolated position on level ground immediately above the Vyrnwy Valley, and is set back a short distance from the A483 Welshpool to Oswestry Road, one mile south of Llanymynech. The present church was built in 1867 on the site of its predecessor within a sub-circular churchyard.
The present church was built in Decorated Gothic and the unusual round tower is said to be one of only two in Wales
