Sculpture in Plymouth, Devon,uk
Its official name is “The Plymouth Sea Monster”, but it is now only referred to by its nickname, “The Barbican Prawn”.
Erected in 1996, it was designed by Brian Fell of Glossop, Derbyshire.
As is increasingly the case with most modern sculptures, there is sadly a vociferous group of locals who want it torn down and sold as scrap.
The tourists however were lining up to take a picture of it.
