Gloucester Cathedral – St Andrews Chapel Ceiling
The paintings are the work of the Victorian artist Thomas Gambier Parry (22 February 1816 – 28 September 1888) with frescoes using the Gambier Parry process he adapted from his study of Italian fresco painters
The artists son was Sir Charles Hubert Hastings Parry, the man who wrote the music for the hymn Jerusalem (words by William Blake)

    Very Beautiful, Great Capture Yampimon!

  • Thank you very much Lee, the area that this is in is utterly incredible. Every inch of wall and ceiling is painted but the light is very low, I guess to reduce the danger of fading. I will have to go back with a tripod and do some more shots.
