Great find . nicely spotted , cool angle:-)

  • I’d love to know why the family of the person buried here thought it necessary to build a 6 foot high cage around the grave. Unfortunately there was no one in the church and no visible inscriptions on the stones to give any clues as to who lies within.

IDK why they put these round some , usual the bigger family plots , cant be any real use for protection , maybe just to show how grand they are ?

  • I’ve tried to find out, The Internet offered explanations ranging from keeping animals (presumably quite big ones) out, preventing grave robbers (eh?) from digging, or even, to stop people holding weird ceremonies in the dead of night (hmmmmm)
I’m inclined to go with the display of grandeur theory too.
