Ex Libris is a Latin phrase, meaning literally, “from the books”. It is often used to indicate ownership of a book, as in “from the books of…” or from the library of…

Interesting aside:- I once bought an old copy of Dr Jeckyll and Mister Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson from a second hand bookshop for a couple of pounds, inside there was an ex Libris sticker indicating that the book was bought by J R R Tolkien as a gift for his son.

This image has been amended in PSP, sadly all the books relating to Yampimon are fictitious….. for now.

Love images of books…this is quite cool and very interesting…loved reading the titles …made me think of “The Constant Gardener”! This only reinforces my opinion on your latent writing skills, my friend!!
  • Thanks Karen, I did this one after reading your comment about writing, I just wanted to see how a bookshelf dotted with Yampi books might look.

love how you worked you name in as author (smile) … so I take it you love gardening … (big smile)

  • Thanks owlie, it was quite a challenge to get the words to look natural on the book spines, hopefully I succeeded. Do I like gardening? nope, too much like hard work for me!! I like sitting in, enjoying, reading and photographing the garden, but not working (big shudder)
