Egyptian Core formed glass vessels from the New Kingdom of Egypt, also referred to as the Egyptian Empire. It is the period in ancient Egyptian history between the 16th century BC and the 11th century BC, therefore these 3 little jars are around 3500 years old!!!!!

Core forming is one of the earliest glassmaking techniques. Glassmakers shaped the body of the vessel around a core of horse manure and clay, wound coloured trails around it, and added handles and a rim. They then let the vessel cool and removed the core.
