I've never known not of love

I say I know of love and all its forms
Of when its missed, happy or otherwise torn
When love is conjured — mixed with flesh
As it flows
When, to the world, we are born

When its young it hurts the most
Because the heart is naive and in doubt goes lost
It breaks uneven everytime, first and foremost
When the guilt is cast upon a Lover’s scorn

I say I’ve obtained a lot but not nearly enough
Empty walks through memory
Picking pieces of shattered crystal hearts
Meticulously shedding them within a glass jar
Salty vapors spreading themselves apart

Overtaking phumes on bones yonder
Tearing red tissue glowing stronger
And never not knowing your lover’s truly a stranger
When love takes its final flight though its heavier

The half of the scale that tips against you
Leads me to realize I’ve never known not of love
When I say I knew was when I stayed upon
One half of the scale
Just burning to know of love

I've never known not of love
