According to Empedocles, I can be WATER

From
within
I
muster

All the water I’d gather
in your cupped hands
and mirror your reflection upon my own
The glow produced by the liquid gathering against your skin

I kiss it
and absorb into it
And hope you never repel me

I’ll quench your thirst
Lean your dry lips in
and drink me

Drink all of me until I spread inside
fueling your blood with essence
bringing life to all that has withered

until only dew sparkles subside
asleep on the outer layer
star matter creating new constellations
unheard of still by the universe

And while inside
dive
into
me;
crystal-clear water exhaled from the mountains of my soul

Ride the tidal wave
so as you won’t drown in my desire
of having you

But
as you have me
a sea quake will shake open the floodgates
that separates us in reality

and as we slip together
into the ocean of entanglement
our hearts will transcend
to a higher state of cosmogeny

And…
as water
I
will
irrigate
your
dreams

I’m your typical young woman who delves in all things artistic… and conventional. Writing is a hobbie—and a preferred one at that. I love music as much as I love reading. Its like breathing. I don’t like false and pretentious people, I’m not quick to anger and I consider myself a dreamer. That’s me in a nutshell, I guess.

So I knelt there at the delta,
at the alpha and the omega,
at the cradle of the river and the seas.
And like a blessing come from heaven
    for something like a second
I was healed and my heart
    was at ease.

Truely wonderful, thank you so much for writing this

  • There’s blood on every bracelet
you can see it, you can taste it,
    and it’s Please baby
    please baby please
And she says, Drink deeply, pilgrim
    but don’t forget there’s still a woman
    beneath this
    resplendent chemise.

You’ve taken me with this song. Thank you. And you’re welcome.
