I am proud to say that I am meeting with an owner of an Art Gallery in the next day or so. Its located close to my town and a friend of my husbands, who lives in the small town of Salemburg, NC, dropped off one of my cards and they were really interested in talking to me. They offer several forms of art including pottery and jewelry, so it will be interesting to see their shop. They seemed very anxious to view my work and I am very excited about this. I have a “good feel” about it and with it being so close, about 30 min. from me, it won’t be a hard trip to make. They are fairly small, family owed, and I believe one of the owners or artists was an art teacher. They are also starting an Art Club so that will be interesting to get the details on that as well. For those of you interested, I met with the people at the Art Gallery and they are very interested in displaying my artwork. As a matter of fact, I left like 8 pieces. Whats really nice is that they do matting and framing to. They are going to frame and matt each one of my pieces which of course will add to the cost but enhance my artwork at the same time. The commission is only 20% which I thought was very reasonable. Lila, the owner, is going to show me how to cut and matt when I do back up there on Wednesday to kind of “feel out” if I want involved in the Art Club she is trying to get started. All in all, a great visit.

Hey Linda! We missed you at the art club meeting.We vote on and passed the name of “Studio 242 Art Club’. We will be having another meeting July 19th at 2;00 pm.I so hope you can make it!! The meetings will be every 3rd Saturday of the month for ‘Art in the Afternoon’. Hope to see you there!!!!!
