I feel destined for greatness, a truth that I see and hope for. Yet I cannot be fooled, nor am I a fool, to fall pray for something I cannot claim. I look at myself in the glass window before me, me, the ghost that has barely whispered the graces of this universe, to claim greatness in its vastness is nothing more than a farce that has made me its inner joke. Yet the whispers are there, calling me from the depths that well up in me, unfilled depths that ache and tremble beneath the wait of the reality I see and touch and smell and taste. Yes the truth is there, in the darkness, beneath the universe and its vastness. What I would not give to know that truth, to find that destiny that lingers in the corners of my eyes, and just beyond my grasp.
