Lizard Dance by

About the painting: I started to paint this one in 2001 and then became pregnant. The colours got brighter and brighter as I anticipated the birth of my first born and got excited.

The joy and happiness can be felt from the radiant and rich colour palette, which I chose subconsciously. I finished the piece in 2002 just days before I gave birth. I really love this one and it hangs proudly in my daughter’s room, the one who inspired me from within.

Dimensions: 47″ × 41″ (119.5 × 104 cm) on a studio stretched canvas, painted free sides.

Choice of my colour palette: I used all the primary and complimentary colours in all directions, which balances the entire painting. The result became a playful and enchanted lizard dance. All they need is a mexican hat!!

I sold a poster size print of this in 2007 to anonymous buyer at the time and then we became friends through another online community.
