An Ode To Nothing (on white)

An Ode To Nothing (on white) by Xavier Russo

An Ode To Nothing (on white)

Can nothing be an important concept in itself?

This poem pays homage to the invention of zero as a number, in the form of a rhyming riddle. And (foolishly for my sanity) I decided to add the constraint that the first letter of each line would spell out the alphabet.

So well done. At first I thought the first letters were going to spell out something naughty (until I got to ‘C’) ;o)
    Kept me guessing until ‘Z’/

Very clever – I’m not normally one for reading poetry, but this appeals to my warped sense of humour greatly.

Fantastic work, one of the best poems I’ve read in a very long time.
