This is the tiny chapel of St Johann and Paul. It lies in the middle of the forest some 3km west of the pilgrimage church of St. Bartholomä, by Königssee, Bavaria, Germany. We walked past it on our way to see the Eiskapelle (Ice Chapel) near Watzmann Glacier.

oh my goodness … this looks like something from a magical fairy tale … so so so beauiful!!
Glad you like Lois. We came upon this chapel unexpectedly as we didn’t know about it. And that was my first thought … that it’s like something out of a fairytale. Many thanks for the kind comments.

Beautiful! It looks tiny indeed. Just a private chapel. Very well captured :)
Hi Yan. I haven’t the faintest idea who owns this one. But these small chapels in the countryside were usually built by the land owner for the benefit of the people who worked his lands. Many thanks for dropping by.
