Hi Lois. Yes that’s a 400 year old fortified watch tower. There are many of them all round the coast of the Maltese archipelago. They are so positioned that each tower can send (or receive) signals to the next tower. Their purpose is to watch out for any invaders. You can call it yesteryears’ radar early warning system:-)Many thanks for your comments.
