These are the Julian Alps in Slovenia, so named for Julius Caesar. Photo was taken while hiking in these beautiful mountains. Just as we were going into a forest I looked back. And this is what I saw.

This is a handheld one-shot HDR post-processed image. Using Levels on PS, I simulated 5 bracketed shots and merged them in Photomatix.
