This is absolutely beautiful, Xandru! I just love it and do not want to reject it for Photography 101. I know you participate in the group and you know the rules about submissions needing some photography explanation in the description, so I’m going to trust that you do that after I leave this message and just go ahead and accept it. ;-)
Just give me at least your camera, but if you got more on how you did the shot (not the post processing), I would lvoe that!
Xandru replied
Not my intention to break the rules, my regrets. Its all there now.
Lots of thanks for accepting the image and your kind comments

Kathy Nairn
I like that the reflection is b&w. It’s a reminder that things are not always as they appear on the surface. Nice SC work. I’d like to see a bit more drama in the B&W section.
Xandru replied
Hi Kathy.
>>It’s a reminder that things are not always as they appear on the surface.<< I like your interpretation. Never thought of it like that.
I started doing this work with the aim of creating a High Key image, where shadows and contrast are suppressed, i.e. lots of white and little else. With so much red it barely qualifies as HK, I think.

Mark Bolton
Nice selective colouring, was there any red colour visable in the reflection, I wonder if this would have been a little red as well. Still it got my vote in the selective colour challange
Xandru replied
Hi Mark, sorry for the late reply. Yes, there was red in the reflection, but I chose not to colour the reflection to add contrast. Many thanks for your comments and the vote.
Jan Timmons
Admire this look a lot! Usually don’t go for selective colour, but this work, with the rather clever reflection, is stunning.
Xandru replied
Thanks a lot Jan. If done with a bit of tact SC can be quite classy, I think :-)
