What I really like about this composition is that the old is reflected in the new. Also, through the new, we remember the old. A timeless piece for sure.

Ahhhh the infamous glass pyramid, made famous by Dan Brown. We were here in … ohhhh … lemme see … ‘86?? I think?? And I can’t for the life of me remember if this thing was there or not, lol!!! Regardless … fabulous angle on this image … and I’m loving the extraordinary detail again. May I ask … do you schlep a tripod around??? Your images are soooooo wonderfully detailed!!!!! Not a spec of fuzzz anywhere!!!
Xandru replied
LOL ….. I have this great aversion to carrying tripods and I never take it with me when travelling, probably because mine is heavy. My gratitude for the fine compliments.

The Louvre is beautiful. I rather wish that the glass pyranmid were not there.
Xandru replied
Yes the Louvre is very beautiful, besides being a historical building in its own right. Actually I have mixed feelings about those glass pyramids. One minute they look like they have always been there, next minute they look outrageous. Thanks Angel.
