I am a 57 yo artist who has spent her life trying to fit art around my other essential activities! Now I spend my time trying to fit my other activities around my art.
I am currently illustrating, writing and publishing books for children (0-8), creating graphics for commercial businesses in Hobart, and producing fun calendars.
Photography has suddenly taken hold (since purchasing a digital camera)!
As a result of ‘bonectomies’ at the base of both my thumbs, I can’t seem to succeed with fine art anymore, and sculpting is definitely out, except for clay modelling and lost wax method.
BUT, there are so many other media, and I have all the time in the world to experiment!!!
