Iraq Veterans Against the War IVAW
Today I watched a group of winter soldiers (IVAW) Iraq Veterans Against the War talk about how becoming a soldier ruined their lives. The Winter Soldiers formed around the time of the VIetnam War. Back then they told about how incidents like the My Lai Massacre happened often rather than rarely.
I would explain what these very young men talked about concerning the war in Iraq, but I hope that some of you use the link and watch and listen to them .
These men and women who speak about their experience are beyond brave.

“I just want to say that I am sorry for the hate and destruction that I have inflicted on innocent people, and I am sorry for the hate and destruction that others have inflicted on innocent people. At one point it was okay, but reality has shown that it is not. Until people hear about what is going on with this war it will continue to happen and people will continue to die. I am sorry for the things that I did, I am no longer the monster that I once was.”

Thank you for the comment however I have another site on redbubble where I posted the same thing and nobody has even viewed it and when they do will they listen to those gut wrenching experiences? I ‘m wondering if people don’t want to hear these things and that not just the US but the entire globe will be affected by the elite who run the war anyway. Sometimes I have faith in “the people” and other times I fear we are tredding on thin ice.

good on you—I confess to being pacifist—tho’ I’m not sure how I might react if attacked. If it was a robber I might offer them a cool drink or cuppa and something tasty to eat!
