Saturday-evening, 17 March 2012, I’v been to a concert in the Grote of Sint-Janskerk in Gouda. The church is dedicated to John the Baptist, the patron saint of Gouda, and was built during the 15th and 16th centuries. The Sint Janskerk in Gouda, the Netherlands, is a large Gothic church, known especially for its stained glass windows, for which it has been placed on the UNESCO list of Dutch monuments.
The concert (with Passion Music of Brahms, Bach and Rheinberger) was given by the Goudsch Kamerkoor in cooperation with the Léman Ensemble. Wonderful!!!
I was invited by my former Tango Teacher, who sings bas in the choir. Thanks a lot Oliver!
On this picture one of the magnificent lamps on the wall. This one illuminated the exit. (UYTGANGH is Ancient Dutch) Shot taken during the pause.
