Watercolor, 14” x 20”, 2007
This was done on the same painting trip as “Farm in Moses Coulee”, a few days later. It’s on the North Cascades Highway 20, a couple miles west of the pass. I really liked the abstract shapes of the snow, and how the weather made certain areas advance or recede. I did several paintings from the North Cascades. If you live in Washington and haven’t been over this gorgeous route, I recommend it highly, but it’s only open a few months of the year, because of the snow.
