Watercolor, 11” x 15”, 2007
I was driving through the coulee country of eastern Washington during a painting trip. I came around a corner, and there it was! I screeched over to the roadside and got out my painting stuff. It was perfect – - the scale of man’s works to that of nature. It’s no contest, is it? This painting, perhaps more than most of my others, expresses my feeling for the natural world, and how it’s possible to be in harmony with it.
