This little black-capped chickadee was very curious about my bird feeders, and wasn’t letting my presence deter him from checking them out. I usually keep my zoom lens zoomed all the way in because the birds are so small, but I actually had to zoom OUT to get his whole body in the shot. That’s how close he was. I only ever so slightly cropped the photo to center him. This was taken in my back yard in Rockaway, NJ USA with my Nikon D3100 and the 70-300mm zoom lens.
