Artist's Description

A pine siskin is a small finch. They are usually easy to identify due to the yellow at the base of their flight feathers. Their migrations are sometimes influenced by food supplies. If there is a plentiful food supply, they may stay where they are. They eat insects and seeds (mostly seeds), and are very fond of thistle seed feeders.
