The legend behind the Battle of Stamford Bridge tells of a lone Viking who held off Saxon forces, killing at least 40 Saxon soldiers, until two Viking armies could arrive… and lose. Still, killing 40 Saxons isn’t shabby. He couldn’t have done it without Odin’s help…
