When I make a picture I see no point in explaining what it means to me. It is unlikely to mean the same to anyone else and unlikely to go beyond the "like it/hate it" concept for most people. Which is fine. If someone likes my work that’s nice and it’s much appreciated, if someone hates it, that’s interesting, if someone sees what I saw, that’s a rare bonus but unimportant all the same. In any case I think it might be worthwhile to explain that my image taking and my image making (post-processing) are not done in the interest of art. The entire image creation process is simply to capture the seeing that happened in a single moment and as seeing tends to happen with feeling, what I try to do with my images is to capture a feeling. If you feel something when you view my images, whatever feeling that might be, then we’ve connected and I can’t ask for more.
