San Geronimo Church, Taos Pueblo, New Mexico by

San Geronimo, or St. Jerome, Chapel was built in 1850 and is one of the “youngest” buildings in the Taos Pueblo. It replaced the original church which was destroyed in the War with Mexico by the U.S. Army in 1847. It is listed as a National Historic Landmark and it is still an active church.
