Marita Sutherlin

Germany is my home country but I’ve lived in a few places around the world, the last few years in Singapore and now our home is Texas.

My passions are travel, animals (horses, cats and anything else that has hoofs, paws, wings etc) and of course photography.

Been running around with a camera in my hand since I was 10, but didn’t really get more seriously interested in photography until I joined webshots in 2005. My Webshots photo album website

It is then when I realized what an uplifting and encouraging experience it is to actually share your photos with people who are like- minded and enjoy viewing them. And what a pleasure discoverying other photographer’s work and learning in the process.

Cameras I use: Sony DSC-R1, with an awesome 24-120mm Carl Zeiss lens and a Panasonic DMZ-TZ3, with a 28-280mm Leica lens.

I have had no formal photography training, what I do comes strictly from the heart and from enthusiasm about the subject. I am always willing to watch, listen and learn. Feedback and critizism are most welcome, improvement suggestions are invited.

Should I ever (lo and behold :D – but I guess stranger things have happened?) sell any of my photography, the proceeds (my markup) will go to my friend’s local horse/animal sanctuary: Remington Acres, a non- profit organization I am involved with: the Remington Acres Website
