I don’t have the money to pay for a photography course (saving for a trip overseas in September) so I’m putting out the request to see if there are any generous souls with some time on their hands who can teach me the technical aspects of photography.
I have an Olympus E500 DSLR that I essentially know nothing about. I’ve worked out some stuff on my own and have been helped out by John and Steph but I figure what I really need is someone who’s willing to spend some time with me and thoroughly explain how my camera works and what all the bits and bobs actually do. It feels to me that the majority of my photos have been created by sheer luck and a lot of standing around taking numerous photos of the same thing.
I could read the manual but I’ve noticed that I seem to learn much more quickly if I’m interacting with someone and can ask really dumb questions. I’ve noticed manuals don’t tend to talk that much.
I don’t have any cash to pay the person who’s generous and patient enough but I can cook some things rather well (if I do say so myself) so there will be food rewards! And wine. Always got room for wine.
